This is likely dangerous to post knowing the lurkers on here, but for those of you with Facebook, go join the National Kick an Aaron Day group. Every November 20th, people of all sex, age, and race come together to celebrate Kick a Ginger Day. Unfortunately, I go to a small university with a small number of gingers, so I generously volunteered my dear friend Aaron to be the campus' token red head to recieve the kicking.
By his encouraging, this is an open group, and we are trying to see how many people will join, from the school, state, or otherwise. So join Kick an Aaron Day, and invite everybody you know! You don't have to know him, you just have to have a passion for kicking strangers!
Help me help you kick an Aaron.

2K Australia guy makes a "Leaving" game back in April
Posted by LtMcMuffin Aug. 16, 2009 @ 4:40 PM EDTJust to keep the masses informed, someone from 2K Australia resigned to pursue indie gaming awhile ago. Jarrad Farbs decided to inform his coworkers of his resignation with his own Mario clone. It was short, sweet, and probably needed a seizure warning, but I suppose when you work for a video game developer you shouldn't worry about your peers being epileptic.
"Leaving" is a different style entirely, and still a great and creative way to inform your friends you quit... it beats a flaming bag of dog shit.

It has been years since I found Newgrounds. Among other animations, RubberNinja's TSAH lured me in, along with the rest of the video game spoofing crew. A few days ago I realized most of these flash no longer fit my standards of humour nor my taste in animation, so they are baleeted. First time since joining the site I've realized the shit I used to like was shit.
Now I am full of sad.

Newgrounds likens itself to be the funniest place on the internet, but other sites do exist, with some epic April Fools jokes of their own. Listed are some of the better ones from the past April Fools day.
Everyone knows that Blizzard has a sense of humor, and they certainly manage to outshine themselves each year. One of the best units ever concieved, this year's Terratron was a thing of beauty. Spouting Voltron and Transformer references and featuring over nine thousand weapons of mass destruction, this gigantic death machine would most certainly end every single game. Hopefully since the animations and skins have been completed, Blizzard will at least keep it for use in Use Map Settings.
Love him or hate him, Trent Reznor pulled a fast one with the announcement his new album. I'm not a NIN fan, but I have to give him credit for this bitchslapping of mainstream music.
Valve is a weird group, so who wouldn't expect something to creep up? Anyone who saw the Meet the Sniper" video was treated to a scene where you watch him waiting for the kill, waiting day and night, drinking coffee, and watching jars of piss fill up. Valve saw it as an opportunity for a good joke and invented the Sniper's new update: Jarate.
Google has a couple of cheap jokes, and this years wasn't one of the better ones but still funny. Google Autopilot uses Skynet to automatically respond to e-mails you recieve. You can custom tailor it to use a certain number of emoticons, pay attention to capitalization, or abbreviate the hell out of everything.
In other news, Youtube was flipped upside-down, the Pirate Bay was aquired by Warner Brothers, Diablo III announces the Archivist, Apple announces the iCar, IGN announces Nintendo's WiiExpand, and an early, mature version of SSB: Brawl complete with blood and finishing moves.
Forums went crazy, with the Behemoth's switching words around even to several forums filtering words like "the" or colors. Bash.org translated everything to Russian. And unfortunately, Uncyclopedia was not really taken down.

I must say I am loving the new layout. Being the commie that I am, I must applaud the Ministry's efficient handling of this disrespectful site. I am tired of all the social deviance on the site, and everything from the BBS to our mature flash have been appropriately dealt with. Even our Chat section is up and running in full glory. However, I must protest that the bothersome man from Tiananmen incident of little significane be removed from in front of the glorious tank of Newgrounds. While we are at it, there is plenty of deviance in the Audio Portal, which our Dear Leader seems to have intentionally overlooked for reasons benefiting the People's Glorious Republic of China. While I am at it, there is a disturbing lack of Chinese literature in the Lit section.
It's nice to see the Far East Flash section getting some attention, even if it is based on a joke. I'm glad this is going on, I register for classes today and this at least puts a smile on my face amidst the hell of everything going on.

Take the beautiful designs of Castle Crashers and stick them in a bland, empty room, curb stomp the gameplay, and you have Portal Defenders, a cheap beat 'em up with little charm outside of Newgrounds references. Newgrounds Rumble is almost two years old, and has yet to show its age. It was a pretty well balanced, fun, and interesting fighter that both embraced the Newgrounds community and provided endless fun. Now that the updates have stopped it may lose its replayability, but I have yet to stop playing.
Portal Defenders, however, is a way to get some easy, cheap fame. The character designs aren't bad, reminiscent of what we saw in Castle Crashers. Not original, but it will do. The gameplay, however, is absolutely terrible. The 4.49 it has owes at least a full point to the fact that simple minded Newgrounds users will up anything that shows Tom Fulp. Armor Games has given the game a rating of 3.65, and I believe that is much more fitting given the game. Portal Defenders features all the fun of mashing one button over and over again, without showing any interesting combos. The bosses are fun and unique, but not enough to justify the repetitive and uninspired gameplay, and the mini-games were a refreshing change of pace, but could in no way save the game.
Honestly, many better games exist on the Portal. I don't know how hard it was to make the game, and I'm sure they still put a good deal of effort into it, but it was not a good game. I cannot give the game more than a two. All my 5 r do not belong to it, it is not crunk, and it is not bad, but I do not like it. There is nothing new or too interesting with the game, and so I will not give anything more than a two for this mediocre, repetitive game.

Metallica (Best Metal Performance, Best Rock Instrumental Performance)
Slipknot (Best Metal Performance)
Coldplay (Record of the Year, Album of the Year, Song of the Year, Best Pop Performance... by Group with Vocals, Best Rock Performance... by Group with Vocals, Best Rock Song, Best Rock Album)
Jonas Brothers (Best New Artist)
Kid Rock (Best Male Pop Vocal Performance, Best Rock Album)
Madonna (Best Dance Recording, I don't give a fuck about the others)
Motley Crue (Best Hard Rock Performance)
Rob Zombie (Best Hard Rock Performance)
Weezer (Best Short Form Music Video)
Guess what they have in common that's not retardedly obvious, and you will be awarded one internets.

A new cover of "Laid to Rest." Much better, much heavier, this is a track I can be proud of. Check it out.
Brief post is brief.
